?s about welding relocation brackets

First, should I disconnect the PCM? If so, what is the best way to do so to protect it while the car is being welded on? Also, did those of you that welded your own brackets have to remove any brake line or anything else back there, or where you able to move stuff and shield it? Does anyone have any decent pics of the finished product?

Disconnect your battery when welding, that'll protect the pcm.

I had mine done at a local Midas, and no brake lines were disconnected. Some pics at http://www.go-fast.org/z28/suspension.html

Always pull the positive battery connector when welding. To minimize stray currents, try and attach the ground clip as close to the weld point as possible.

I watched Steve Spohn weld in my relocator brackets, and he didn't have to remove anything. Took a few minutes on each side.
