Hmm, I live in OH, have a cam that is sitting in the garage and it has been out of the car since April with no rust on it as of yesterday. If you still have the box he sent the cam to you in check to see if there is rust on the inside of it.

Depending on how long the cam was in shipping and how long it was left sitting, it's going to develop surface rust. It doesn't matter if it has 0 miles on it, it's going to develop surface rust. It has to be re-oiled. You can be paranoid if you want, but I would use that cam. As long as it cleans up with a little wiping it will be fine. As far as buying a used cam... It's a roller cam. It will last a long *** time. After you clean it up, it should be fine.

Yeah, I'd like to know that too. I guess that would determine exactly how pissed I would be.

More importantly, HOW did you pay for it?

If you used a credit card, then ship it back and get a refund through your bank.

Him giving you crap about it not being his cam means he was scamming you from the start.

Don't let him get away with it.

LOL!!! I paid him $180 shipped for it, so its not even like I got that good of a deal, but I was trying to save about $70 and figured if he was charging a premium for a used cam it SHOULD be worth it ( he said it had 1500 miles on it because it was TOO strong for his daily driving ). Heatmaker your link is invalid....what are the specs on your cam? I really only want a 306cc. I used Paypal with my debit card so I am not quite sure how I can guarantee myself a refund by sending it back. It would be my WORST nightmare to send it back and get NO money....that is my biggest fear, then I will be out $180 and a cam. I will polish it, oil it, and wipe it down and take more pics tonight. THANKS ALOT GUYS---

Ya can get all but $25.00 back from Pay Pal if ya go through their procedure. Check and find the page on eBay that tells ya about items delivered but not as represented. It will take a couple of weeks but it might be worth it.

If the seller is giving you a hard time, it wouldn't surprise me if its not even a CC306...could just be an old stocker...Who is he and where do we find him?

Re: Rusty used cam!!!! Will it cause problems?!

I would post his name and email address so you guys could roughen him up for me but I dont want to get in trouble or have it hinder my process. 1racerdude, so do I get money BACK and keep the cam or how do I prove to them I shipped it back? Is the $25 a fee they charge for their services? THANKS-

I wasn't suggesting physically going after him. I just thought it would be a good idea to post his screen name (if hes on these boards)... we should know who he is and not to deal with him...

I think it will work if ya send it back or not,it's whatever both agree on along with eBay.
Yes the $25.00 is for their fee.
