Did ya put coated headers on it and destroy your O2's?

What year Z28? Speed Density? MAF? Header leaks, exhaust leaks? These and other things can cause a rich condition, as it smells rich because the O2's see more air than the tuner set it up for, and it will then run Rich.
Check for exhaust/manfiold leaks, especially around the Flanges and collectors.
Also, if it is a 93 or older you may need heated O2's so the car will go into closed loop. If it is idleing rich, and you have single wire non heated 93 and older sensors, you will need heated O2's. If it is newer, check for exhaust/manifold leaks then.

Re: running rich 383

What's your TPS at? I had a similar issue on my 383. I cracked my TB blades open enough so it would run at idle, but at the same time it turned my TPS up to like 1.4V, so when I was at idle, the PCM wasn't actually reading me as being at idle, and dumping more fuel than I needed, I'd foul out a set of plugs in 10 minutes.

My MAP sensor was bad, voltage output @ max, causing pig rich.

Re: running rich 383

ok heres the whole story... i have a 95 camaro rebuilt it with above parts now its running rich

3000hydrocarbons at 15mph and 2500 at idle it should be around 70 from wat im told.
Then my Co% is up to 5.0 at 15mph and 3.1 at idle. im hoping its either the tune or the injecotrs, is there anyway to test the injectors, no exhaust leaks, stock cat. i bought the bbk shorties do u think this is wat is messing up my airfuel.... my friend has a wide band i plan on using to get the a:f ratio but have yet to do.

Never saw HC's that high before but I think you're on the right track. However there are more causes for running rich than just the injectors. And you could see a leaky injector by monitoring the fuel pressure when the engine is shut off.

Re: running rich 383

My friend and i took the afr tonight from the DRIVER SIDE only.
Afr rpm
16.7:1 850 idle cold
12.9:1 850 idle warm
10.6:1 4500 mid rpm
12.5:1 wot

while driving from 1000 rpm-2500rpm i experinced a fluctuation of 12.8:1-14.7:1
this all seems normal to us, if it isnt please tell me.
tommorrow i plan on adding an o2 opening on the passenger side in order to get a reading. So from all this i think ive narrowed it down to a cat or something on the passenger side bank. Anyother ideas is greatly appreciated.
