running one ported maf end and one stock?

To make a long story short, when I got my new used maf it works but was imported with no screen. So I put my ported side with screen on, and used the unported end on the other side... Sooo my question is, should I just go back to the ported end? I mean I got one ported maf end and one unported. I'm sure airflow isn't accurate since we tuned for ported maf with screen. But I'm curious.

Probably won't matter, but the overwhelming consensus is to use an untouched unmolested stock MAF sensor to eliminate any potential problems.

Ok.. ill just leave it then.. I had some random misfires that happen intermittently but I did have holes in my elbow. I think a good wideband tune will help my car entirely. My screen is still in.. my maf goes ported with screen, sensor, unported end.. but eh naturally the car runs a bit rich... I had lean issues when my maf blew awhile back. Car overall runs like a champ no issues starting, decent gas mileage no complaints on power. For almost 15yrs old its a beast.

Does your ported inlet end have the center "wing" cut out of it?
