Running with just opti connected

Trying to see if I have the opti and cam on right. Want to run the car with just the opti connected for a few seconds.

I do not have the radiator or waterpump in. Alot of sensors are disconnected, and the drive belt is off.

? is there anything that would prevent the car from running?

I want to make sure I've got the cam pin right in the opti slot before i put this **** back together again.

Right now it will not fire up.

Tim

I did the same thing last week. We didnt have the water pump, fans, or radiator hooked up. It wouldnt start. So then we just plugged in all the connections. Put the connections in the fans and waterpump....even tho they werent installed. Then magically it started so i dont know. You do have to hook the MAF sensor up tho. Hope this helps. Dustin

Just make sure the opti is getting juice from the coil and the injectors are on and you should be able to fire it up if its all correct. It wont hurt anything withiut coolant and the drivebelt just powers the accessories. Just dont run it for longer than 20 seconds IMO.
