might seem like a stupid question, but im sort of new to working/fixing my car.

i want to know what the symptoms of running rich are?
they have told me the smell is very strong and the car will hesitate or have a "choking" feeling when driving.

any help will be appreciated.

 

Your car will have a noticable odor and a possible loss in performance. It can also lead to fouled plugs and damaged 02 sensors.

 

You may see a lot of carbon buildup in the exhaust tips and on the bumper. Gas mileage will also drop off.
