RPO codes q's

I wouldn't think that this would necessarily go to Appearance, but if so...sorry!

what I'm trying to do is figure out if this 97 TA RA WS6 I just bought is currently it's original color (polo green). I have no visual reason to suspect the car has been repainted...even had mechanics check it out on a rack, with complete inspection. Carfax was clear. I don't, however, have any RA stickers on the hood, and don't know if those come standard. Also, I saw one or two sites that mentioned polo green was dropped in '97

http://www.f-body.org/tech/4th_gen.htm

...does this mean some were done in PG in 97, or none? I've found a few pics of 97 RA T/A's that are polo green:

here is the only RPO code in my car that is color related:

48U

on http://www.firehawkowners.com/byrpo.html 48U is coded as "Exterior color dark green."

in the Excel spreadsheet here: https://www.camaroz28.com/downloads/...97rpocodes.zip
48U is coded as "Primary Color, Exterior, Dark Yellow Green Metallic." What is the yellow referring to? Was that green/yellow a combination for some of the Firehawks in previous years?

Sorry about being a freak...just trying to figure out the details on the car.

The color code should be a four digit number below the block of RPO codes.

The 4 digit code under my RPO's is 9806. Any ideas?

Thanks!

well, i was on the right track...the 4 digit code is correct, and the 48U is correct as well. 48 is the paint code, U stands for "upper."

http://www.plasti-kote.com/plastikote/colorguide/gm.jsp

There is no **L code, as the car is one color...no "lower" color. 9806 is the corresponding WA code for 48U:

Thanks all...so are the FAQ's I've seen wrong? There are obviously Polo Green 97 TA's. Did I just read the sentence incorrectly? Here is what the FAQ I posted above reads for the 97 model year:

"Exterior Colors: Polo Green and Dark Purple Metallic dropped. Medium Quasar Blue dropped at midyear. Bright Purple Metallic introduced."
