rpm range for a 210/224 112lsa cam!!
Re: rpm range for a 210/224 112lsa cam!!
Your signature indicates that the cam is a Comp Cam.
I have a cam with the same exact specs that is a Crane cam. Crane advertises idle to 6K rpms for their cam.

It's effective range is probably more like 2,000 to 5,800. You can see from
the dyno graph it falls off at about 5,800.
Crane 227 Dyno Graph
Just ignore the jaggies. I have not figured out that problem yet. I have managed
to install lots of new parts that did nothing to fix it.
Nothing like a good
mystery to keep you going.

Like truedualws6 said, it's probably in the very high 5k area that the power peaks. Remember though, peak power is NOT where the optimal shift point is. The optimal shift point is going to be much higher in RPM, but is limited on our valvetrain stability.
