Hey all, I have a miss above 5K only if I put the pedal to the boards. If I work the pedal any other way it winds flawlessly up to the rev limiter. Any ideas?

 

Knock perhaps.

My car would sometimes pick up knock if I was already up in the rpm range. If I started from idle however, it would rise smoothly.

 

Well the thing is whether I'm going from a roll or from a dead stop and I don't put the pedal all the way down, it winds up no problem. However, pedal to the boards, and it misses hard above 5K. The rpm's seem to hang in between 5000 and 5700 for a while before it shifts.
