Hi. I have a 94 LT1 z28. It runs well, mostly. However, when i'm stopped and in drive, pressing the brake, the rpms go up, then down, and repeats this indefinitely. This does not happen at start up, just after I have driven for awhile. Once I'm driving, the RPMs seem steady. Anyone else seen this? I have over 100k with mostly stock parts.

 

Mine does it as well but only when slowing it sort of pulses untill I come to a stop. Been doing it for a yr now. Not sure what it is.

 

could it be because after a while at a stop your engine is hotter, thus causing your fans to kick on....then it cools, and it shuts off, then in goes on again...etc.... ?

 

Speedy read, surging, revving up on its own. I have the exact same problem. the post has been up for about 2 weeks so there are quite alot of responses, however no common problem. check it out. its only like 6-7 threads below this one on the same page
