well pretty sure i figured everything out!!!

well ok i was blowing the sensor fuse becuase of the extension harnesses that i made, i fixed that. then it didnt fix my problem so i bought some extension harnesses. so the mass air codes and short circuit have been fixed! however, my car is still doing it...WELL i decided to do a test on the plug wires. its dark outside and i couldnt see any arching...so i got some salt water in a spray bottle. some of you may not know it but salt water conducts electricity VERY well. so i sprayed the wires, low and behold, i have all kinds i little archs EVERYWHERE on the new MSD wires. this is the second set that has done that to me. WTF??? i love msd prouducts, but im starting to loose faith here. im going to replace the wires and go from there. thanks everyone for all your help, and as for the intake leak; its leaking like a mother effer, so i will be fixing that. please post a reply and tell me what you think about this whole situation...esp. the NEW msd wires...

Never even used my MSD wires. Still have them if anyone wants them cheap. I bought Granatellis.

Salt water also corrodes everything VERY well.

Have you checked the plug gaps? Excessive gaps will cause increased arcing.

that was something i forgot to mention..was the corrosion. thats why you use a mist and use it sparingly! yep i gapped all of my plugs when i put them in, as i always do.

But have you checked them since? If you used platinum plugs, there's a chance the platinum puck may have fallen off.

No platinum there. Maybe it would be a good idea to take your distributor cap off while your changing wires too.

why? its a brand new MSD cap and rotor. the problem is for sure the wires...are you thinking there is something wrong with the cap that is causing this arching problem

No I don't think it has anything to do with the arcing you saw on the wires. But with all the negative issues with caps and rotors, give me a better reason to not take it off. Since you're so close to it anyway.
