rough idle/ upper rpm stumble, please help

This is kind of long, but just trying to give as much info as possible. I have just rebuilt my engine, and i am having issues.
while doing rebuild i installed new msd wires, ngk tr55 plugs, csi waterpump, comp r lifters, had some minor head porting done with a valve job, cloyes double roller timing set, and new front 02 sensors. the car is converted to obd1. before it blew up it idled kind of lopey because of the cam, but now it seems to stutter and bog down. every once in a while it tries to idle smooth, but not longer than a minute. it also stutters until about 2,000 rpms when leaving stop light, then it seems to clear up for a while. It also seems to start to miss at around 4500 rpms, just as it starts pulling good, its like it hits wall and quits pulling. The cars smells like its ruuning rich, and the plugs are a little dark. i took it to a repair shop, and they say its running fine and all sensors are ok, which is what i figuered they say. Oh and one more thing, it seems to ping when you floor it at 2500 rpms or so, but not all the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated, because i dont know what to do next.

I just wanted to let you guys know that i repaired my stumble problem by replacing my driver side plugs. They were brand new plugs, i must have just had one bad one out of the box. Visually they looked ok, but my stumble is completely gone now. What a relief, It is quite frustrating, i was worried i had done something wrong when rebuilding the motor, and it ended being a $2.00 plug.
