two more things to check out in case you havent.

I learned that when the Fuel presure regulator diaphragn brakes.. the car leaks gas into the intake manifold... runs rich and rough..

Also a Burnt or bad plug wire will do the same... rich and rough..

if you havent checked. give it a try

Thanks Marvin. I just replaced the plugs, but I will check the diaphram. What would be the best way to do that?

I had a thought, tell me what you think. Due to the fact that the previous owner descreened the MAF and that I found a drill hole in the drivers side wheelwell, he must have had a CAI in the car and removed it when it was sold. Drill hole being from the block plate for the CAI. My question is: Do you think that putting the stock air filter set-up back on is causing some of my problems? Maybe the PCM never really adjusted back to the stock air intake. They seem to be pretty tempermental. I plan on buying a CAI. Maybe it will eliminate some of my problems. Just wishful thinking.

if you think thats your case, you can reset the pcm by pulling the pcm bat fusefor 10-20 seconds, next to the steering column. That will be back to stock.

Right, I did that earlier. I actually thought there was another check of the FPR I could do. Thanks.
