well guys the the camaro ran good for the trip back to the base, i replaced the IAC and she ran great. i parked her in the garage and put her to bed. i came back 2 days later to take her for a cruise and as soon as i started her up she started doing her 600 rpm and blowin out black smoke. i have checked and cleaned the EGR i have replaced the IAC i have replaced the o2sims which tripped a code on the tech 2 i have pretty much checked all componants on the motor that would maybe cause this problem. all i can say is that this is the most aggravating , unconquering thing i have faced in a long time....i think the war in iraq was, i wont say easier but not as aggravating as this,,,think im gonna trade my 97 iron cross camaro for a hummer,oh wait already got a real one of those with a anti tank unit mounted on top.....hmmm can you say BOOM that would get rid of the problem..........i think i better leave the camaro hiddin in her hole b4 i take her to the firing range and teach her a lesson on how to idle and run properly.....thanks for all the input guys i will keep watching the board in hopes someone who has the similar problem finds out why its happening and figures out how to correct it.
