Rough Idle after Intake manifold leak fixed
Rough Idle after Intake manifold leak fixed
I fixed the notorious leak on the intake manifold, but now I have rough idle and the car runs rough like it's searching for a RPM range to idle at. We doubled and triple checked to make sure everything is hooked up properly. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? Thanks.
I hooked up a Tech2 and got two codes.
0018- Injector Circut
0064- bank 2 H02S lean exhaust indicated
While the car is running we've unhooked each injector and nothing happens in bank 2. We checked everything we unhooked
Any ideas? Thanks for the suggestions.

Most likely you don't have one of the injector connectors on tight. Since the passenger side bank is indicating lean, look at the passenger side injectors first.
Generally, with sequential injection, you won't get a major miss if you hook the wires up to the wrong injectors, not much more than a minor roughness, particularly when the engine is cold. But its worth checking to make sure you put the correct numbered connector on the correct injector.
If you can't find a loose connector, check the pink wire in each harness connector for 12V (when measured to a good ground). Then with the harness connector off the injector, check for 12-15ohm resistance across the 2 injector pins.

We looked at it again today and checked the gaskets to make sure they sealed right, it appears the right side moved. We sprayed brake clean near the gasket and sure enough right out the exhaust. So it appears we found the problem, but there doesn't appear to have oil leaking from near the gasket. I figured there would be oil leaking near there.
