roller rocker upgrade

I wanted to see what u guys thought about the summit brand roller rockers with lt4 springs. The rockers part number is sum-g6921b. Kinda working on a budget here but if u guys have any suggestions, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

think you need self aligning rocker arms for 3/8 studs

yeah use self aligning for the stock 3/8 rocker studs so you don't have to go with guide plates and hardened pushrods or change to a 7/16 rocker stud. Also I've heard the LT4 springs aren't very good. I'm also not sure if the aluminum body rockers will fit under the valve covers. have to cut them up or buy aftermarket ones.

If I decide to stay with a 3/8 stud, is it a big difference between 7/16 and its strength?

The 7/16 rockers are the best way to go. The 3/8 ones just aren't as strong.

If your not running a high lift, fast ramp cam with higher RPM's you'll be fine with the 3/8 studs. Just keep in mind that if in the future you decide to do a cam swap you may want to either change to the 7/16 or run a stub girdle on the 3/8 to help with the deflection.

Also, I have heard that the Summit brand rollers are Proforms. If it were me I would find a nice used set of Cranes or Scorpions before used the Summits. JMHO
