Question roller rockers and valve adj.

i just installed the cc305 and i adjusted the valves twice already, once to get it started and again with the engine already running. the pro mags are so loud its tough to tell where to set the lash at. it almost seems like im making them too tight but they still sound loose. are they just really loud? they are NSA promags. and i also hear a subtle ticking under load that accelerates with RPMs, like a loose rocker? also the oil pan leaks, i guess i messed up the seal. is it fixable or do i need to replace the gasket?

the rockers will clack if they are loose but ticking is ok. with the engine running, just loosen one at a time till it starts to clack and then slowing tighen down the nut till it stops. at the moment it stops clacking... go another 1/4 and move on to the next one.

About your oil pan seal, its common to ruin them taking off and installing the timing chain cover. I ripped mine, they arent expensive and its not a hard install. You can't take the oil pan out but you can loosen it to slide the gasket in..
