Post [FIXED]Car wont start. No power on the ICM connector

My car started stumbling and i felt loss of power.. Then at times it would be hard to turn the car on. Some times it would stumble and turn off. I would turn it back on and the idle would be messed up and i would get very little throttle response then it would just shut off.

Now the car wont even turn on.

I just did a opti spark test like it says on shbox's site http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test . And I do not get any power on "A" to ground or "D" to ground.

So I went back to the fuse box and checked power there with the fuse off an the key on. And there is power there.

Could the connector be the problem here? are the symptoms right?

I also did the coil test http://shbox.com/1/coil_testing.jpg
And I get nothing. That should mean the coil is bad. But why if i connect the spark plug wire to the coil, i do see sparks from the other end?

Thanks,

Doesn't make sense. You say no power to the coil and the coil tests bad, but you get spark from it? The info is is conflicting.

Where does the coil get power from? The ICM connector or the other two connections underneath the icm conector?

I must be doing something wrong

Look at the schematic link inside the link you posted from my site. It shows the power routing for the coil/ICM. The coil has to be plugged in for the ICM to get power.

Fixed the problem . Coil had corrosion where the spark plug wire connects. Cleaned it with a wire brush and it started up with no problems.
