I say a lt1 heads/cam/rebuilt(no stroker) shootout would be cool
i'd be in for that.. haha

I'm still here. Stock bolt-on motor broke last spring. One too many over revs. 75k miles and over 1000 runs. New stroker for this year. I'm running bracket points at ATCO and Maple Grove. Also got rid of the stick with a turbo 400 conversion. I would love to have a reunion shootout with the group. Just got a stock 95 vert to actually drive on the street. This one is gona stay stock.

What's going on fellas??

I'm still around and the LT1 is doing good. After the event last year I added a hundred shot through a NX shark Nozzle and the car loved it. Went a best of a 7.09 on "BONE STOCK" suspension in the 1/8 and a 11.2x's and 30's in the 1/4.

The engine finally bit the dust, bent valve and rod but still had good oil pressure before I pulled it out at the beginning of last year. Since then; 355 with stock ported heads by my neighbor, 224-236XE cam, and upped the shot a little. Went 10's the first time out and later last year I swapped in a th350 w/ 3200 vigi. Still runnin on the 7.5 inch 10 bolt with 3.73's and zexel and I now have lower control arms, relocation brackets, and diamond subframes. Going mid 10's at 128-30 and still driving her every day.

Spend most of my time helping out on an awesome local board www.hpjunkies.com Plenty of vids of the ride floating around there.

Had fun that day and glad to see everyone is still around and kicking butt!!

Checking in Nice to see how everyone is doing. Looks like everybody still has their car. Wish I'd kept mine and built it. Sold it shortly after the shootout. The young man that owns it has been through three transmissions and a rearend. And he dont evan take it to the track. The car is lowered and has chrome Z06 wheels. Looks good.

I started modding the 35th SS after I sold the T/A. It ran a bolt-on best of 11.46 in good air. Took 1st place in the stock internal class at the Thunder Shootout. Went 10.94 on a 100 dry shot in not so good air. Just got a huge AMS custom grind cam last week, no more NOS. Went 11.28 with the cam. Next mod will be 4:10's.

How is Bill doing ?

How about the Grape ... car ?

Hey! Donald (DMcRACER) "jumped ship", and bought an LS1...LOL.
Seriously...Great to hear you're still racing an F-Body, though...And a damn quick one at that

One thing that will always stand out from the shootout is Donald pulling his car from Texas with an Astro van

I sold the Astro van to a family member. They took it to Michigan where it's still running strong

Hello everyone, I sold my Formula last spring. I did not do any more mods to it after the shootout. I didn't have the time for it and I only raced it two times after the shootout. I did pick up a beater 93 Z28 though. I have been buying a lot of used parts (bolt ons) for pretty cheap. There are a lot of good buys on used stuff. I have not done anything to the tranny yet. If I get the time I will get some numbers out of it sometime soon. I will post complete mods and numbers after hitting the track. Nice to hear from you all.
