Roll Bar/Cage

Who here has a roll bar/cage in their car? Does it seriously hinder getting in and out of the car? What about the back seat? How does it look with the t-tops off?

Me

I have "swingouts" on the side bar. No problem getting in and out of the front seats. You can even unbolt the side bars completely for street use.

What about the back seat?
What back seat.... .

How does it look with the t-tops off?
I only have a 6-point bar. Obviously, a 10-point cage with a "halo" is going to look a bit more intrusive.....

Here's a link to the pic's:

Very nice Fred. Did you have that custom made or ordered ie. Wolfe?

I have to get one for this season and have been looking around.

(Sorry for the thread hijack)

Thanks!

That is a custom install by Finish Line Performance in NJ (not the FLP header guys) to my design. Hoop mounts throught floor to rear subframes, front braces through floor into front subframes, integrated SFC's under the car, cross-brace on rear braces, all chrome moly tubing. Please don't ask what it cost......

Then I won't ask

I've been looking at a Wolfe 6pt or I'll just have our head tech guy at the track build me one at his shop.

Just finished looking at your site....VERY nice car! You've done many of the things I'm in the process of doing ie. TH400, stroker, nitrous, cage, etc.

Good reading!

Okay...I'm sorry again, thread hijack is complete

Mines in the sig. It was custom made by a friend in Waco, Tx. who was making them for a while. I have had 6 people in my car with the cage in and had plenty of room.
