Rocker arm ratios

I was thinking of running either a cc503 or an LT4 hot cam on my 95 z28. One question I have is will I gain anything if I go with a rocker arm ratio of either a 1.65 or a 1.7 is there any HP increase than the 1.6 I know I'll get more lift but what will that translate to? Other than probably a stronger spring what else will I need to make this work I'll measure the Push-rods to make sure I'll have the correct geometry on the valve train. This is going on a rebuilt LT1 with 2-valve notch pistons. Any input would great...
Thanks
Jlo.

I've heard pros and cons of 1.7 rockers on valvetrain geometry. Why not just have a camshaft ground with your desired lift with 1.6 rockers. Also, if you are running stock heads the extra lift may not be benificial.

I was always under the impression that it's better to have true lift (cam ground lift) than artifical lift (manipulating lift with higher ratio's than 1.6)

there is nothing wrong with using the 1.7 ratio, geometry is not too much of an issue.
quite a few have had nice gains over 1.6s. a few bolt on cars have made 10 more at the wheels by using 1.7s ....stealth like, easier and cheaper than doing a cam swap.what is the average cost in adding hp? if you can do it without breaking the bank,by all means do it!

i have heard the same however adding longer rockers to gain more lift is a fast efficient way to add more power...lift is lift however you can get it!
there are a bunch of NMCA racers that use rocker ratios to manipulate lift(increase or decrease) nothing wrong with it .

Stock heads yes, but they will be sent out to get ported in a month. I guess what I wanted to know was that if anybody tried this and what they got out of it by using a bigger ratio.
