rocker arm keeps falling off

i dont know what is making this happen, but every time i do a highway run and i decelerate the same rocker arm on the same cylinder falls off. They are the crane 1.6 magnums with CM 614 spings and hardened pushrods. The pushrod has never bent. The rocker arm just swivels off sideways. I tried swaping rocker arms to a diff cylinder along with pushrods. but the same thing keeps happening. I dont know if its a failed lifter or maybe bent rocker stud possibly coil bind? Any input would be apreciated. its a 94 A4 mods are intake catback and 1.6ers

Put in a little more preload. Make sure you are on the base circle of the cam when setting preload. TIGHTEN the nut VERY hard.

i was doing 1/4 turn past the clack. Guess ill try half turn, what makes it a bitch is its passenger side so the alt and serp belt always has to come off its happend 3 times now. i set then 1/4 past clack with the motor running just because too tight can cause problems. From my understanding the looser it is without clack or ticking the better.

Ya running SA rollers? If not ya got the correct guide plates? The GM and Isky adjustable are the only ones that work.

Found that out the hard way.. Comp's don't work.. Switched to GM and they are great.

If adjusted properly, maybe the lifter is collapsing.
