i have a stock 1994 lt1 with 100k miles on it....is this the right pump for my engine? i already ordered but have gotten different opinions

That would not be my first choice, but it looks to be the stock replacement with a 5/8" inlet. I always do a new screen with a new pump. I'd prefer a Melling 10554, 3/4" inlet pump using the pink spring and with a GM 12550042, 3/4" screen. GM switched to 3/4" inlet pumps during the 94 model year.

i went with shoe box on this one and ordered a melling 10554
