Question Right exhaust louder than left?

I have noticed this for a while and have finally decided to ask about it.

My car (94 z28) came with a borla cat-back and I installed MAC mids on it. The right exhaust tip has always seemed louder and more "snarley" than the left. If I put my hand behind the left tip I can feel exhaust coming out it just seems that it is a lot more mellow than the right side?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

The passenger side exhaust of a borla is actually a cutout (the d.s. is the muffled side). There are four different plates you can put in the p.s , each with increasingly larger holes cut in them. This lets you play around with the sound a bit. With a large plate installed, you will get the same raspy sound from the right side as you would with a cutout. This is why alot of people dont like the way Borla's sound with a full exhaust setup.

What he said^^^^...crawl under the passenger rear exhaust tip and you'll see a 3 bolt flange just after the exhaust comes over the axle...remove the bolts and you can install the different size plates that restrict or allow flow thru the muffler...or leave no plate like I do...
