Reviving a motor...

Ok, I ran my motor a short time with low oil pressure (5~10mins tops...long enough to get her home. Kept under 3,000rpm and was showing pressure on the first mark of the guage at 3K, no pressure at 2K) As soon as I got to town, I couldnt keep the RPMs high enough to hold pressure and it stalled out... wouldnt start again (seized?) basically I towed it home and its been sitting. I can spin the upper half of the motor (valves, cam, etc) the lower half will not turn over by hand. Can I use penetrating oil ? or is there a way to relubricate things enough to try and turn it over again? I believe I just had a bad oil pump/or the pickup tube came off. Im checking on that tomorrow morning. I just dont want to waste my time if I cant get the motor to crank over again. Ill just pull it and get it rebuilt instead of attempting to revive. Thanks!

You're better off just taking it apart and figuring out what went wrong. Looks like your down that path anyway.

Yeah, I have the front of the engine off, just heads, intake and exhaust still connected. Im sure i could have the motor out in a few hours more time. I was just hoping for a miracle. LOL Ill probably just pull it this weekend. Thanks for the quick reply!

I hate to say it but you probably have done major damage to your crank and lower end. That low on oil pressure but still having some probably means you spun a bearing. The good news if there is any to be had is you can get a rotating assembly stroker kit and do the engine up modded.
