Reuse stock PP and install aftermarket Disc?
Reuse stock PP and install aftermarket Disc?
Haven't pulled anything apart yet but my stock pp has about 20k on it and i am sure it will be fine. I hear that all of the pp's are the same pp, so i figure why not just sand the pp a little to make it nice and smooth and throw a nice disc in there.
Im with faded on this one. Should be no trouble if its not too old. You could get it tested though to be sure there is good spring tension in the fingers and resurface it.
On a side note, what kind of intake elbow is on your car?

what a POS....
:P
well Mike, look at it this way: you really want to crawl up under there and do it again when the PP gives? I would do all at once, and just pick up a cheap PP. what clutch are you going with?
and what elbow is that? it looks like one off a powerdyne kit...

actually my local club seems to have a popular upgrade even for 400RWHP guys...stock PP with a Mcleod disk. This is the setup I am going with, along with a new TO bearing from Autozone
