retarding timing for N20?

i'd like to run the MSD 6A ignition with the retard box but i'm not so sure I want to drop $300 at the time on that... (i was thinking about just waiting until someone decides to sell those on here used) Is it possible to just pull 4-6 degrees of base timing (150 shot) when spraying the car?? how much time will this take to do?? (not to familiar with the opti spark system, I know its a peice of cake on a normal distributor)

You can have 2 chips one for spray and one for nitrous.> I do this for people all the time.

good idea.. does that mean having 2 ECU's? (not sure how easy it is to replace a chip inside the ecu or sure I want to take it apart at all). How much for another ECU... assuming it is difficult to switch out?

Nope just a chip. I might even be able to piece together a working switcher chip to where all you have to do is flip a dial to anthor setting and PRESTO nitrous retard.

so if I get the car dyno tuned N/A (heads, cam, etc. will also be on the car along with N20), how much cash will it cost if I just send you the computer (already flashed) and just have you add the working switcher chip to switch over to the other chip (just needs to be identical to the one flashed) minus 4-6* of timing??

If its tuned by someone else I won't/cant touch it. I prefer starting over from scratch.. The good news is I have plenty of dyno tuned library files for 93's (my specialty really) I also travel across the country doing this so I can probally catch you at a dyno day.

You don't send us anything, we send the chips to you.

Re: retarding timing for N20?

Just want to update this..

I've got some new chips that allwo 2 bank switching. I've got nitrous tunes that can go on the second bank along with

Valet
parent mode
security
two step
higher fan speeds
etc.. the possiblitys are endless.. you simply ground a wire coming from the adapter and that activates the second program.
