resistor and diode question...

okay, this pertains the fan switch mod. ive had it done for a while now and gonna go ahead and put in the resistors and diodes so my ses will go out. as far as the resistor goes, i know they got to be 47 ohm's. according to the tech page it shows them parallel. so do i put them in parallel or one following the other? and as far as the diode goes, the tech page doesnt exactly say what size diode to use. any help? thanks.

when in doubt, use a 1n4148, this is the most common all purpose switching diode around. they cost nothing (like 50c for 10 or so)

If you are referring to my page, it says 3 amp diode. I am not the author of that diagram and don't pretend to be an electrical genius.

Diodes only needed if your LEDs don't work right (like the page says). If you don't have LEDs, you don't need the diodes.

The resistors are for the SES. On one side there is one resistor in series and on the other two are in parallel (again, just like the diagram).

Just about any generic diode will do.

3 amps is a lot, and not really necessary. All you are switching is the relays, which only draw a fraction of an amp.
