Reprograming??

Reprograming??

hey i was wondering if i needed to reprogram my pcm/ecm because i put 26 lbs injectors in and a new egr valve?? but i stil lhave a stumble....i got a 1995 z28 ....i was wondering if not reprograming the computer have something to do with the problem still??

Try resetting your pcm, by pulling the pcm/batt fuse.

is that on the dirver side close to the steering column?? thanx alot...

Or you couold just remove the neg battery cable for about 10 mins I believe it is

No, you shouldn't need to reprogram the computer for 26 lb/hr injectors. If you're getting a stumble, I would check the plugs and wires. If nothing is wrong there, it may be the dreaded Opti.

yes just pull it for a second and put it back in. That will reset the pcm.

Are those 26#s ACCEL or LS1 injectors? If they're ACCELs, you will run slightly rich without programming, but not very bad. If they're LS1 injectors, you will run lean. They were rated as 26.4# at 58 PSI and we run 43.5 At 43.5, they will flow 22.5 or so.

Hmm... I didn't know the LS1 ran on 58 PSI. I thought they only differed by using a non-return style regulator. Good to know.
