replacing/repairing MAF power wire/pink wire

Does anyone have any info on how to repair or replace the power wire to the MAF. I have done several searches on the board and discovered that this wire seems to fail on the 96/97 cars. I am intermittantly getting a SES light and it is always for code p0100.. I have checked for power at the wire and I am getting 11.6 volts. -- when the SES light is off. basically the light comes on for a day, and the next day it will be off, and I may go a week or a month with out it coming back on. The last time that the light came on I tried to test the wire and was getting voltage so I looked back in the car and then the light was off... so I think there is a short in the wire. Anyway any info on where this wire comes from, and tips to replace it with a new wire would be great.

Thanks
ryan

You just have to physically trace it out in the harness. Kind of hard to isolate trouble when it is not present.
