replacing motor mounts

SO i dont know if this is the right section but ill say yes it is...

I have narrowed a bunch of annoying things down to the motor mounts and im almost positive their broken. So im going to replace them. Now I know I cannot do this. I dont have the proper tools and i am still in shame from failing the TB bypass... i got it... but i failed first... i know i know. So i was wondering how much does it cost to replace them? Or is there someone on this forum in my area that would be able to help me out and i could pay them. Also what should i go with? Im thinking these..... but any opinions are great.

Thank you all

Re: replacing motor mounts

It is really not that hard to do them yourself. But just make sure you got a drill and maybe a grinder.

Re: replacing motor mounts

You can get them cheaper at jegs.com for 24.99 and free 1-2 day shipping. Here is the part number 355-3-1127G.

Re: replacing motor mounts

I have some poly mounts on my car and they work just fine. Not much vibration. But the ones I got I had to cut them down a little bit to get them to fit in the shell. Just do a search on here and you should beable to find somthing.

Re: replacing motor mounts

i searched and got mixed reviews.. some vibrate like crazy but most dont do it at all. I also read that theres two different part numbers for the mounts. One for each mount.. or from ws6store.com or summit or BMR they sell the kit that has them both. What exactly does it entail to do a mount swap? I heard of people doing it when they do a header install a lot. Is this hinting that im going to have to take my headers off to install them?

Re: replacing motor mounts

No you dont have to take your headers out I dont beleive. Unless maybe you have long tubes? But I got mine from ws6 store. You will have to cut them a bit to fit in the shell the stock mounts come it. But no big deal. Just take it one mount at a time. If your not too sure on doing them. Have sombody experienced help you out.

Re: replacing motor mounts

Im DEFINATELY going to have someone experienced doing it with me.. I know i cant do this myself. I have two neighbors who are good with cars.. one has a 5-car garage with a lift and more tools then most the shops around here. I dont really talk to him tho so it may be weird just asking him to do something for me. Ill pay him.. ill pay anyone on here that will do it. I just have a feeling a shop will rape me with labor cost. and yes I do have long tubes.
