replacing fuel pump and broke sensor!

AARGH!!!! I was replacing my fuel pump and some how the sensor on the top that bolts to the tank and runs outside of the tank broke and now i need a new one. One of the prongs that the plug on the inside plugs into broke off, so instead of three prongs it now has two. Anyone know the fastest way to get one of these, or does someone have one laying around that I can buy off of them. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

Re: replacing fuel pump and broke sensor!

Are you saying you broke the white plastic terminal block on top of the fuel pump support frame? That entire support frame is a single unit, including the fuel level sensor. It has to bought all together, and is probably over $200. You can't buy just the top block or the wiring. Might want to look at what you can do to repair it.

That said, I still have the support frame that I bought in order to get a new level sensor. The sensor has been removed and moved to my old support frame (which had been altered to run a Bosch pump and -AN lines) but the white plastic block, internal wiring (plugs into pump and sensor) and frame is still there. IF you need it, we could work out a deal.

is it a prong on the sensor side or the wire side? If it is on the wire side, all you need to do it use a really small flat head screwdriver and pop out that prong, crimp on a new one, and push it back in the connecter. If it is on the sensor side, you are going to have to do what Injuneer said.
