Replacing the belt?

How do you replace the belt on a 97 LT1? Is there a tension pulley?

Yes the tension pulley is down on the bottom of the motor by the crank pulley. Just put a wrench on there, 15mm i think, and turn it to the right. The belt will loosen right up and you'll be all set.

13mm on my car... tighten till belt tensioner comes down, then pull belt off, and replace.
