replaced EGR still getting SES

I replaced my EGR and did the intake manifold oil leak fix at the same time. I had to replace my EGR to get it inspected. When I took the car to get inspected the computer was still in 'not ready' mode so it failed. I assumed I just needed to drive it more to let the computer reset. I got an SES a few days later and took it to get a free scan at autozone. It's still getting an EGR code but not the same as before. Now, when I replaced the EGR and was putting everything back together I broke a vacuum line that was on the drivers side near the back of the intake. I couldn't find where the other end went to so I just taped it off. The car runs great, but I'm guessing this vacuum went to the EGR and that's why it's throwing a code. How many vacuum lines go to the EGR and could this be causing the code? Thanks for any replies.

Looks like you broke the vacuum line to the EGR.

Ok, that diagram helped a lot thanks. So can I replace the line with just some rubber tubing or does it need to be hard plastic?

If it is on a long section, you could splice out the damage with a piece of rubber vaccum line, but for the parts with the 90° bends, a rubber line is not going to work very well.
