Mine done same thing as yours, It would just crank and crank. I bet its the ICM (ignition coil module). I changed this and it fired right up. pics of it in sig so you know where it is. Pics thanks to shoebox site.

maybe your opti died and you installed the new one incorrectly. I have seen it happen in person and heard about it several times on this board.

Hows the wire harness for the pcm look? No wires on the exhaust. I would try another Ignition module, I got 6 bad ones in a row had to order it from out of state to get a good one.

holy crap guys i am super happy/pissed....

I started the whole electrical checks that HBHracing has on hiis page (btw sooo bad ***!!!!) and they were the best directions to follow!!! well i found out i had a bad ICM... replaced it and BAM!!! she feels like a raped ape!

so go check you stuff of his guide and i swaer u will find your problem!! my icm was 4 months old and it blew, so ya never know what can happen

i'm glad you like it . took me a long time to word everythig right and I am still editing it. I am far froma good writer.


Something that you might want to think about. I have seen a bad coil keep tearing up ICM's before. since yours was replced not long ago you might look into that asuming that it wasn;t a heat issue from before.

we tested the msd it was fine, i dotn think it was bad if it was i will see at least i will have a great knowledge on what to look for, i learned alot about electrical systems which i always wanted to learn so thx HBHracing. dont worry about the spelling i was easily able to understand it all and i was a beginner, plus i also suck at spelling. well thanks again good luck every one
