Removing Rivits off old Ignition coil mount

I'm swapping my igition coil and there are rivets holding the old one in place. How do I remove that??

well you can drill the holes out or you can take a grinder and gride off the ends of the rivits. i used the grinding it's easier.

I used a drill bit just slightly smaller than the hole. Personally, I can't see how a grinder is faster/easier than less than 2 minutes of drilling, but YMMV. Either way should work, and it really is easy. I wouldn't even sweat it. Just use whatever you're more comfortable with.

Thanks for the help!! I suspected I needed to do some drilling (don't have a grinder). Just wanted to confirm that way I don't have to pay Gm another 100 bucks for a coil pack/module.

I used a chisel and then punched out the pins with a hammer and small nail - took 2 minutes
