Remove the cover, unbolt the crash block, and cut the part where it connects to the body - you will see where there are small plastic tabs where the upper and lower parts of the pad are hooked together. It is easier to leave the very small upper portion connected.

You will need to remove the tail lights and center section to get the cover off. There are also bolts and screw at the front edge where it forms the back of the wheel opening, and a series of bolts through the sides of the fenders, at the top of the cover, and at the very corners where it wraps around the fender at the corner of the tail lights. And some small push-in connectors hold the cover to the crash pad.

When you get done, the cover will be a little "floppy" at the bottom. I made a couple of aluminum brackets to tie it to the hatch well sheet metal. And also a couple nylon wire ties at a couple locations.

Please note.... my car is TRACK ONLY, never driven on the street. Save the "safety" lectures for someone else......
