Removing Oil Dipstick?

Trying to Install Edle Brock Headers....Direct fit my AZZ!

Didn't realize I have to remove the oil filter to get the Driverside header in....Right after I just changed the oil.....but How do you remove the Oil Tube? I"m clueless.

There is a tab on the tube, right above where the tube goes into the block. The tab is held to the block with a single bolt. Remove the bolt, and pull the tube straight out, wiggling it.

Is there enough room to "move" the tube out of the way once you undo the bolt that holds it to the block? Only because it seems to come out easy, but can be a pain to put back in. There is some extra room if you rotate it, slightly bend it, out of the way. Just trying to save you some headache maybe?

IT's really superduper in the way. Even when rotating it. On the Driverside it's worse. THe OIL filters in the way...going to try and remove all the spark plugs and then drop it in from above....that's just how hard it is.

I wish mine was that easy.

well it didn't come out easily. after I initially got it loose, it came up about 5-6 inches, then it was stuck. I had to tap the vice grips until it finally came out.

Getting it back into the oil pan was another issue as well.
