Remove Air valve off headers??

I have a 94 camaro z28. About 4 years ago I had a shop install some headers for me along with a offroad pipe. About 2 years ago I had a turbocharger put on the car and had the car dyno tuned. My scanmaster shows EGR 00 all the time. It's basically not reading anything. I'm not sure if that was deleted in the tune or not. But I wanted to remove the air valve coming off my shorty headers since I no longer run a cat.convertor. I was worried about a code coming up but the egr reads 00 - Do you think the code has already been deleted from my pcm?? Could I remove those air valves then?? I just dont want codes coming up and problems with the car if I remove them. They seem to be in the way of my breather caps. I was just going to remove them off the headers and cut the metal pipe and plug the end off.

Why not just get a couple of screw in caps and try it. I would think it was deleted already but like I said you could always try just to check.

Yeah I was thinking about doing that. I will give that a try first. I could always screw that valve back on if something does come up - Thanks - Mike

The AIR check valves (if that's what you are asking about) have nothing to do with EGR system. On a 1994, there is no diagnostic to detect whether the AIR system is actually working. You can completely remove the system, with no codes, as long as there is a good fuse and relay in the circuit for the AIR pump.
