Removal Of Entire Dash (97Z28)
Working on taking out the entire dash to remove some of the unused wires, etc on my 97 Z28, but just can't figure out how this booger comes out.
I've removed all noticeable screws throughout....
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here are some pictures of where I am now with this project:

you need to disable, then take out the passenger air bag. i beleive there will be some screws underneather there that need to be removed, also, getting the center console out of the way might help to. THe bolts for the steering wheel are on the back, facing the dash
Thanks to those that responded....
I did manage to get the dash moved enough to accomplish what I needed to.

Wow, I'm doing this at the same time you are, you happen to be alittle ahead of me. Is there any pointers or tricks you found, I thought I would have to rip out the whole dash but from what you did it doesn't look like I have to.

YIKES!
Been there done that.....my car now has NO wires, fans, airbags, etc. behind the dash and you wouldn't believe how heavy all that crap was.....or maybe you can!
I replaced the THOUSANDS of wires in the car with about 8 or 10....just finishing up wiring it all up.
Certainly a PITA, but worth it.....
