Question Removal of AIR pump hard lines?

I just finishing up my Jet Hot Lt install and was wondering if there was a way to take out the AIR hard line without having to cut it into pieces. How hard is it to do? I wouldn't care to cut it, but I didn't want to destroy it if I sold I my car in the future and needed to smog it(CA law, seller has to smog car). Where I live now I don't have to smog it just only when I sell it. I can see where it is bolted in two areas, but I thought it would be near impossible to try and manuever it out of there. Someone let me know if they have done this and what was involved.

I'm not sure but i would like to know also. Mine is still on there. Just a quick question why don't you have to smog your car in San Jose? Or do you live somewhere else now?

I tried to keep mine in one piece, but it was pretty impossible. You COULD keep it one piece, but you'd need to remove the motor. I had to cut mine in two spots.

My car is registered at my moms house which is farther north and you don't have to smog there.

They will come out without a saw. It a PITA though. I had my car on a lift and we were able to manuver it around to slide it out. took about 15 minutes to figure it out.

I hacked the SHlT outta mine and did it with a smile on my face. It was about time that piece of crap was out of my car. I dont see how it can be done. I couldnt get mine out and the headers were off too.

I made a single, neat cut, using a cutoff wheel on a Dremel, right at the bottom under the timing cover. That way, all you need to do is reconnect it with a hose and some clamps if you have to put it back on.

I took mine off in one piece. I was also removing the a/c compressor at the time however. Its hard to say if it is even possible to take the hard line off in one piece without a significant amount of room. At the very least, it would be extremely difficult.

maybe its slightly different on 93's. I just went in the garage to make sure my memory is correct b/c it was about 2 years ago and it's all in one piece. Headers were intalled. It was one of the last things I did.

I had to cut mine but now I have to figure out how to get one back on. I was thinking if I removed the accessory bracket it would be easy to slide in after that was out of the way. If you call removing all the accesories easy I will let you guys know I am going to tackle this in the next couple of days.

That's what I did. I thought I would just connect it with some hose if I ever have to get it back on.
