Remote starter
I have remote start on my 94. Its a really neat feature to have, especially when its cold and your heater doesnt work till it gets really warm (low temp. thermo). First and foremost, you can remote start your car without unlocking it, that will prevent anyone from getting into your car. Secondly, if you remote start it and it is unlocked, sure anyone can get it but they cant do any damage. If they touch the brake to put it in gear, the car dies. If they rev it past a certain pre-set rpm (my car is 4k) it'll die. The key needs to be in the ignition and turned to the 'on' position. Once that is done, the car acts normally. Hope that helps clear it up some. I paid 350 for my remote start alarm installed and it is a trick thing to have.

and yes the crime stoppers works with the factory alarm
you press the lock button on your factory alarm 3 times and the car starts
Don't use crapstopper. Get a clifford, nothing else. I have remote start and windows on my stick car... It's good to have and it's not hard to install. You hook the remote start module to the alarm brain and wire the harness up (power, ground, tach etc.). Clifford even makes and alarm that has the remote start built in which also acts as a sort of "turbo timer" so you can take the key out, arm the car and lock it, and then engine will continue to run for a given amount of time. I believe the nam of that one is the Solaris and it's quite expensive. You should check out their website...
