Relocate Coil & ICM?

Have any of you relocated your Coil & ICM? I would think that the heat is not friendly to electrical gadgets. Anyhow, does it really matter? Prolong life if relocated you would think? If so..I'm thinking where a good place would be..not much space to put it.

I just placed a 1/2 spacer on the bolts between the head and coil/icm assembly...

yea, I actually have two washers on each bolt to space it out a bit. I think it would be better to relocate it. This weekend I'm going to come up with some ideas..if it's too much of a pain..I guess I'll just leave it but I want to experiment.

What you want to avoid is a long coil wire. That kind of limits your options. I have seen an LT1 coil remote mount assy made by Street and Performance.
