Reliable 600rwhp?
Reliable 600rwhp?
I have a 95 Z28 m6 with long tubes, catback, cai,cc305,1.6rr and was wondering what it would take to make it a reliable 600hp car. Its not going to be a daily driver but I will be driving it lots. I was thinking of running a supercharger at around 10 psi. Should I bother to get some LE heads?
What should I do to the bottom end so nothing breaks down there?
Im guessing a 12 bolt will be needed because I plan on running drag radials.
What do you recommend for a clutch?
For fuel I am thinking a Aeromotive's complete lt1 fuel system.
What should I do to upgrade the ignition?
Anything else thats needed please list and some opinions on how streetable it will be is much appreciated

Re: Reliable 600rwhp?
You will need a lower compression with 10 psi of boost. 6 psi is around right for a stock compression. Also, I would run more than 10 psi. If you want to get to 600 from where you are you will probably need around 15-16 psi to even get close to 600, assuming you're around 350 right now. Also, a forged bottom end with 4 bolt splayed mains will be in order.
Re: Reliable 600rwhp?
I believe you can get 600 RWHP for less psi, in the range of 10-12 if you have the supporting heads and cam.
Parts:
Procharger D1SC or equiv.
CNC LT1 Heads or AFRs w/LT4 intake
Upgraded pump and injectors
12 bolt
Spohn or Denny's extreme driveshaft
Forged rotating assembly
4 bolt mains
Street Twin clutch
MSD or Crane spark box
and plenty of $$$.
