Relacing LM Resonator
Relacing LM Resonator
With one of these http://www.sweet-thunder.com/chamber....html#aluminum
Not sure how long the resonator is on the Loudmouth and two... you think it would quiet down the exhaust system much since there is only ONE resonator to swap out?
It's a 383 LE3 setup with 11.8:1 Compresion...
So it's going to be loud and I need to quiet it down some... and I Don't want to purchase a new exhaust because I want to go true duals one day and want to waste money on the setup now.
I also noticed just now... the 3" muffler is a 2 1/2 " Inlet... how much power will this thing be robbing from me? Pace Setter LTs, ORY, LM (with this muffler)

Re: Relacing LM Resonator
if you're going duals later, why not just purchase the longest dynomax bullet with 3" in and out......save alot of money now
longer muffler should be a tad bit quieter and will be easier/cleaner too install then one that is too short
thats the one thing i didnt like about sweet thunder mufflers
they can have a 3" inlet but the inside of the muffler is reduced down too 2.5" no matter what size the inlet is

Re: Relacing LM Resonator
i know of others who swapped in the chambered muff in the place of the resonator. said it significantly reduces interior drone and exterior raspyness but is still real loud.

Real loud... as to what? I'm sure its quieter then a stock 350 LT1 with Jet Hots, ORY, and LM right?
I'm more curious about driving around db

Re: Relacing LM Resonator
Ya mine aren't sweet thunder but my 2.5s are reduced to 2s, sometimes the bottle neck like that helps power but i have duals so that still gives me plenty of space. But a single 3 to 2.5 would be about like the stock size wouldn't it?
