Question Will Dynomax bullet fit in front of LM resonator??

Just wondering if it would fit in front of the loudmouth resonator. I am getting the 12" one. Thanks!

My guess is, no. I have a dynomax bullet in place of the LM resonator. It doesn't appear that the two could run in-line with one another due to space/length constraints. I could be wrong though, but I'd bet I'm not

A buddy paid to switch my Hooker catback for his LM converted to dynomouth, so, I can't tell you 100%. He has a supercharged and it was just too much noise for him.

What my buddy told me, plus one other bud that's switched out the LM resonator for the dyno bullet, is that there was a very significant difference in drone & raspiness (if that's a word) and some of the general LOUDNESS. The bullet muffler made the car MUCH less headache prone while driving in 6th gear on the hwy, too (their words).

IMHO, my dynomouth sounds great BUT still has just a touch too much drone for me. I'm seriously considering putting a Sweet American Thunder muffler in the dynomax's place to calm down the drown just a bit more. The design on that is similar to the GMMG and goes in the I-pipe, too. My biggest hold up is that it will go down to 2 3/4 inches and I don't want to lose ANY power...I probably wouldn't. Anyway, I'll stop debating with myself on that and go to bed...

Ummm...just realized I came over from an LS1 board and typed that all, forgetting you have an LT1. Crap. I don't know anyone that's done it to an LT1. I'd imagine the drone reduction must be similar.

I put the 12" bullet (I think the overall length was 16" though) in and it cut down alot on the rasp. Not as loud either but is still really loud. My GF won't ride in the car for more than 10 minutes now.

Yup,

Just Replace the Resonator with the Dynomax Muffler...

Once you get the resonator off you realize that is way too thin a material for an exhaust pipe. If you tap it just sings.

No reason to leave it there at all, as I believe that it in itself is the cause of 90% of the Drone in the Loudmouth

That said: with the Bullet Muffler in place of the resonator you will still hear the car, just much less drone!!
