Redline all the way. When it comes to fluid, i always use redline.

Redline 70W-90 or Heavy Shockproof

Sam Strano says Heavy Shockproof is good for take-off Torsen diff and autox

I used Mobil 1 and the GM additive when I did mine last summer. All is well.

I believe most gear oil is pretty much the same. I use 75w90 Quaker State Synthetic with GM additive in my torson.

Probably would have gone with Mobil 1 if Jiffy Lube carried it.

It came from SLP with the QS 75w90 syn.

What year is your car and which rear end do you have.....

This is my understanding:

- For the earlier 4th gen's 93-97 you do not want to use synthetic, you will want to use and 80w90 with one bottle of GM additive. I put Mobil 1 synthetic with one bottle in last year and just changed back to the standard as I was having trouble with my posi engaging and was told it was because the clutches in the posi unit do not like synthetic. Changed it back and can't believe the improvement.

- For the new 4th gen's that have hte Zexel/Torsion, I think they like Synthetic a little better.

Later
