rebuilt 355 problems, need answers

Zdriver on the board here came over last night and on the way his car was heating up more than it should be. Oil pressure has dropped slightly to what my stock Z is at but he has high pressure pump so it should be higher and was when he first got it running.

Also while it was idling, what looked like oil specks were coming out of his exhaust. I held up a rag to it and there were many black wet spots. He's got 600 miles or so now and I don't think the rings should be letting oil by at this time.

We did a compression test on as many cylinders as we could get to and they were all coming out fine.

The coolant does not show any oil, and I also did a pressure test on coolant system and it held pressure.

The plugs looked like it might be running a little lean.

We just can't seem to find why the pressure has dropped and it's overheating and idling rough.

Any ideas?

Oil pump pickup might have dislodged and might have an air bubble in the coolant system.
