Nah, a radiator, even a Griffen, would be tops $500 and you can have a radiator shop custom make you one, probably be about $350-$400...just get a list of every part that he plans to use, get the specs of the cam, heads, etc, find out what parts companies hes using...and dont let him tell you that he knows the "combination" of parts...BS if he knows it then he shouldnt have any problem explaining it to you...otherwise take the money and go somewhere else cause I wouldnt trust him if I didnt know what he was doing and he wouldnt tell you...what supporting mods do you have...

A good topend is going to be close to $2000 without rockers, gaskets, timing chain, maybe lifters, intake porting or any labor.

For a GOOD heads and cam job I would expect to pay $3800 for parts and labor installed easily, more if there is tuning being done. Leaves nothing for the axle.

I am saying look at this in a detailed manner, should be spending at least $250 on rocker, $100 on pushrods, say $150 on gaskets, A good set of springs and retainers will easily be $200, look how fast that budget is going away.

one thing to note is people sell hp like its some cheap ricer number these days. "475hp" someone claims is probably more like 350hp bolt ons. ive listened to plenty of guys claim 400,500,600hp small blocks but then they run a high 12 and they think thats on par for the power. the car feels a fair bit faster then stock so they think they added like 200+hp.... the people that brag the most usually run the slowest. just my .02
