OK so maybe 600 to rebuild the rear end which leaves 3200 to rebuild your engine and give you an extra 200 horsepower over stock. Let us know if that actually happens.

$3200 is approaching what you would spend on heads, intake porting, valvetrain and gaskets, fluids, mailorder tune etc without any labor for that power level no shortblock work.

Basically if you can back out of this DO IT NOW because something is not right.

I doubt he will make those numbers. Ask him what will be done to the LT1.

If anything short of a large cam, heavily ported heads/intake, you arnt making 475hp no where.

Did he indicate the 475HP was at the flywheel, or at the rear wheels?

You still didn't say whether he was going to make 475HP at the flywheel, or at the rear wheels. Seems like a simple question.

Stock cooling system shouldn't have a problem with a normally aspirated setup.

Ask him what he is doing to the heads, and what the cam specs are. Also is it going to be a 350,383 or 396.

475 Flywheel sounds right to me for 3200.. Thats like 390ish? I would just put used rear in which you can buy for as low as 150bucks!
