rebuilding LT-1 and rearend???
I have a question,my lt1 and the rearend is getting rebuilt this thursday, the shop is charging me 3800.00 bucks to rebuild the motor and rearend he said the car will push out at least 475hp....I was wondering with the amount of money im spending if it can buy 475 hp....the rearend is getting replaced from 3.23 to 3.73 the transmission was rebuilt 2 months ago and is pretty beefy but just let me now guys!!!!
$3200 is approaching what you would spend on heads, intake porting, valvetrain and gaskets, fluids, mailorder tune etc without any labor for that power level no shortblock work.
Basically if you can back out of this DO IT NOW because something is not right.

well fella's he says he nows the ''combanation'' to get that much power out of the motor,he said he had a 95 z28 that was pushing 475 and he said hes goin to do thee same work on my car as he did to his..........o and another thing i called up there today and asked them what kind of cooling system that they were goin to use they said that they were goin to use stock because what they are doin isnt goin to make that much heat.........WTF i now a radiator for a car pushing out that much power would b like 800 bucks but i can back out of it but i want to find some1 that isnt goin to f@3k me on my money.......how much can 3800 bucks buy u in horsepower?
You still didn't say whether he was going to make 475HP at the flywheel, or at the rear wheels. Seems like a simple question.
Stock cooling system shouldn't have a problem with a normally aspirated setup.
